  • Booking is recommended.

Our sessions have limited seating so everyone has a comfortable space to paint and create, and each person attending needs their own ticket.

We do offer drop-in sessions, however we cannot guarantee there will be space available if a session is already full. Booking ahead is the best way to secure your seat.

  • Not at all.

The Glaze Shed is designed for beginners, families, and curious creatives. Whether you paint every week or haven’t picked up a brush since school, you’re welcome here.

  • Absolutely.

Pottery painting is a wonderful activity for all ages.

Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian during the session.

  • We understand that sometimes plans change.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, please let us know at least 24 hours before your session and we will happily move your booking to another available date or provide a refund.

Unfortunately, cancellations made within 24 hours of the session or no-shows are non-refundable, as your seat and materials will already have been prepared.

If something unexpected happens, please reach out and we will always do our best to help where we can.

  • Yes. Carers accompanying a participant may attend free of charge.
If a carer wishes to paint, they simply purchase their own pottery piece.

  • Yes, you’re welcome to bring along your own snacks and drinks to enjoy while you paint. We also have a tea and coffee station available for guests during sessions.

We encourage visitors to support our wonderful local cafés, so feel free to grab something nearby and bring it along with you.

Please note that alcohol is not permitted during regular sessions. In the future, alcohol may be permitted for private functions once the appropriate permits are in place.

  • At this stage we aren’t able to take requests for specific pottery pieces. Our studio shelves are stocked with a range of items for you to choose from when you arrive.

In the near future we will be adding a shop to our website, where you’ll be able to purchase a piece ahead of time and leave a note with the date of your session. We’ll then set it aside ready for you to paint when you visit The Glaze Shed.

  • We really hope you fall in love with your pottery and enjoy the creative process during your session.

In the studio you’ll find a variety of example pieces and colour test tiles to help guide your choices and give you an idea of how colours will look once fired.

Please keep in mind that pottery naturally shrinks by approximately 10–15% during firing, which is completely normal across all ceramics.

Because pottery painting is a creative and handmade process, colours and finishes can sometimes look a little different from what you expected. This is part of the magic of ceramics and what makes every piece unique.

For this reason, refunds are not offered if you are unhappy with the final result of your piece.

  • Of course.

The Glaze Shed is perfect for:

    • birthdays
    • hen’s nights
    • teen craft parties
    • work gatherings
    • creative afternoons with friends

For private function bookings please contact us directly and we’ll help organise the perfect session for your group.

  • Ceramics go through extreme temperatures during firing. While breakages are rare, they can occasionally happen.

Unfortunately once a piece enters the kiln we cannot guarantee the final outcome.
